When we feel upset this is a red flag. Probably a detrimental underlying belief or attitude has been triggered and has become active. It’s helpful to stop adding more of the same type of negative thoughts that created the upset. We can observe all the thoughts, images and emotions around the situation or observe any neutral object. The upset will begin to dissipate.
