No need to be afraid of a still mind Treasure Within You 0 Sometimes we may be afraid to have no thoughts or to have a still mind. This is quite natural because it may not be something that we have experienced or experienced very often. We may feel threatened. There is nothing to be afraid of. When we first experience having no thoughts there may be an experience of nothingness – nothing is happening. Just relax, everything is okay. As the length of time when there is no thoughts increases, a feeling of contentment, ease and peace will naturally show up. We may naturally come into our heart center and feel our own love which is always there. A sense of happiness for no reason often arises. The longer we have no thoughts the deeper will be our experience. How do we keep the mind thought free and prolong staying in the now or present moment feeling this deep inner peace of our Divine Self? If the mind naturally becomes quiet, without thoughts or very little thinking, just relax, widen back, accept whatever comes, regulate the breath in a slow, smooth and easeful way, be very patient. Your inner world is unfolding for you. Continue to let go, never forcing, demanding or expecting anything. Less is often more. Deeper experiences often come in meditation but they can occur at any time.
