Mantra is a sanskrit word. Man means mind and tra means to protect. A mantra is a sacred sound vibration. They are heard and experienced in deep meditation. Repeating a mantra creates a soothing and uplifting vibration in our minds and bodies. Repeating it gives the mind something positive to do or focus on. The mind is less likely to get distracted and to get into trouble. We can repeat a mantra at any time during the day when the mind is not fully needed in a project. It can also be used as a meditation technique. By regularly repeating a mantra the mind naturally becomes calmer and clearer, and we’ll feel more peaceful, happy and relaxed.
