Stubbornness has a positive and negative side. Stubbornness could be refusing to listen to another’s point of view or to continue to forcefully express our point of view. This often leads to conflict, anger and weakening of our relationships. I’m not saying it’s wrong to have a different point of view but it’s wise to respect differing points of view and to know when to express our viewpoint.
A positive side of stubbornness could be to use our will to consistently do our exercise, sport, healthy diet or yoga practice even when we’re faced with obstacles.
I know that both sides of stubbornness show up in my life. The positive side of stubbornness helps me to stay connected with my inner peace. What has been your experience of stubbornness?
